By accessing or using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Services.

2.1 Personal Information

When you register for an account or use our Services, we may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide, including:

  • Role within your league (e.g., administrator, coach, official, parent)

2.2 Account Information

We use Firebase Authentication and Google Sign-In to manage user accounts. When you create an account or sign in, we may collect:

  • Authentication credentials (passwords are encrypted and never stored in plain text)
  • Google account information if you choose to sign in with Google (name, email, profile picture)
  • Unique user identifiers generated by Firebase Authentication
  • Account creation and last sign-in timestamps

2.3 Game Data

Through the Umply Live application, we collect game-related data including:

  • Game scores and results
  • Play-by-play tracking data
  • Player performance statistics and sport-specific metrics
  • Play-by-play records
  • Game schedules, rosters, and lineup information
  • Division standings and league records
  • Generated game summaries and analytics

2.4 Payment Information

Payment processing for our Services is handled by Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe"). When you make a payment or receive payouts through our platform:

  • Stripe collects and processes your payment card information directly
  • We do not store full credit card numbers, debit card numbers, or bank account numbers on our servers
  • We may receive and store limited payment information from Stripe, such as the last four digits of your card, card type, expiration date, and billing address
  • Transaction history, amounts, and payment status are stored in our systems
  • For official payouts via Stripe Connect, we may store payout amounts, dates, and status

2.5 Device Information

When you access our Services through a mobile device or web browser, we may automatically collect:

  • Device type and model
  • Operating system and version
  • App version number
  • Unique device identifiers
  • Browser type and version (for web access)
  • Screen resolution and display settings

2.6 Usage Data

Through Umply Live, users may record video clips of games. When video features are used:

  • Metadata associated with video content (timestamps, game context, players involved) is collected and stored
  • Video content may be accessible to other users within the same league or game, depending on sharing settings

2.8 Location Data

We collect location data in limited circumstances:

  • Location information is used only for the purpose of calculating official travel distance for game assignments and mileage-related compensation
  • We do not continuously track your location
  • Location data is collected only when relevant to official assignment functionality
  • You may disable location services through your device settings, though this may limit certain features related to official assignment optimization

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Operate and maintain our Services: To provide the core functionality of the Umply and Umply Live platforms, including league management, game tracking, scheduling, and statistical analysis
  • Process payments: To facilitate payment processing between leagues, officials, and other parties through our Stripe integration, including invoicing, payouts, and financial reporting
  • Send notifications: To deliver push notifications, emails, and in-app messages related to game schedules, score updates, assignment changes, payment confirmations, and other service-related communications
  • Improve our platform: To analyze usage patterns, identify areas for improvement, develop new features, and enhance the overall user experience
  • Analytics and performance: To monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our Services, and to measure the effectiveness of our features
  • Customer support: To respond to your inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical assistance

4.1 Service Providers

  • Firebase / Google Cloud Platform: For authentication, database hosting, cloud storage, analytics, crash reporting, and push notifications
  • Stripe: For payment processing, subscription management, and financial services including Stripe Connect for official payouts
  • Apple App Store and Google Play Store: For app distribution, in-app purchases, and app analytics
  • RevenueCat: For subscription management, in-app purchase processing, and subscription analytics across platforms

These service providers are contractually obligated to use your information only as necessary to provide their services to us and are required to maintain the confidentiality and security of your data.

4.2 Public Game Data

Certain game-related data may be visible to other users or the public, including:

  • Live game scores and play-by-play updates visible through spectator views
  • Game statistics, standings, and league records accessible to league members
  • Shared game summaries and statistical reports
  • Player performance statistics within the context of their league

League administrators control the visibility settings for their league's data. Individual player statistics are shared within the scope of the league and its members.

4.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

  • Comply with a legal obligation, subpoena, court order, or other legal process
  • Protect and defend the rights or property of Vaccaro Ventures LLC
  • Prevent or investigate possible wrongdoing in connection with the Services

  • Active accounts: Your personal information and account data are retained for as long as your account remains active and you continue to use our Services

  • Deletion upon request: You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time.   • Inactive accounts: We may reach out to users with inactive accounts and, after appropriate notice, may delete or anonymize data associated with accounts that have been inactive for an extended period

Umply and Umply Live are designed for use by league administrators, coaches, officials, and parents. Our Services are not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.

However, we recognize that our platform involves youth athletics, and data about young athletes may be collected and managed through the platform:

  • Information about youth players (such as names, jersey numbers, positions, and game statistics) is entered and managed by authorized adults, including coaches, league administrators, and parents
  • Youth player accounts are created and managed by their parent or guardian, or by an authorized league administrator or coach
  • We do not require children under 13 to provide personal information beyond what is reasonably necessary for participation in league activities
  • Parents and guardians may review, modify, or request deletion of their child's information at any time by contacting us or their league administrator

We are committed to compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable laws regarding children's privacy. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information directly from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
